Source files and coverage

The original bilingual workbook is TUIK_NACE_Rev2.1_Altili_2026_TR_EN_Official.xlsx. The archived list contains 2,142 six-digit records, 23 sections, 87 divisions, 287 groups and 651 classes. Turkish wording is kept verbatim from the approved Turkish list.

Hierarchy uses explicit workbook parent identifiers. National-only records 66.13.02 and 66.13.03 sit under section Y in that archive; no missing class is invented.

Search and matching

The English adapter uses the shared R36 local search functions, reviewed aliases and limited spelling suggestions. Numeric codes are never fuzzy-corrected. E-commerce, consultancy and office-address wording may need clarification. Unsupported wording produces no clear match instead of an invented classification. A current code is not silently treated as a previous-edition code.

Three source-text differences

These identities match, but the bilingual workbook and approved Turkish list differ in wording. Both are retained as sourced. A visible warning accompanies each affected result.

This tool adds no analytics, cookies, search history, local storage, session replay or remote classification requests. Only opening the optional feedback form checks availability. Submitting sends only your written message and optional email, never search history. The site's infrastructure may keep ordinary server logs independently of this tool.

Language switching stores no profile or language preference. Shared links contain a validated six-digit code, not free-text queries.

Frequently asked questions

Can I search in English?

Yes. Search an English activity phrase or enter a six-digit Turkish NACE code. Results use the official English descriptions from the archived TUIK bilingual workbook. English aliases help with common phrases; they are not official classifications.

Does the tool choose my company's NACE code?

No. It helps you review candidate descriptions. A result does not determine your main activity, confirm a licence, or approve an office address. Compare the full scope with the work you actually perform.

Why does e-commerce need more detail?

An online sales channel alone does not describe the goods or your role. State whether you retail, wholesale, manufacture goods, operate an intermediary, or provide digital services.

Can I look up an old code?

The tool contains the verified V3.0 to 2026 correspondence table. Type "old code" followed by the code, or use the previous-edition option after a code search. Multiple targets remain separate candidates. Other editions are not inferred.

How are the English and Turkish descriptions sourced?

English wording is copied from the official bilingual workbook. The original Turkish wording is retained from the approved Turkish list. Three source-text differences are disclosed rather than silently reconciled. See Source and method for dates and details.
